Compositions and Arrangements
Julie Lind begged her parents for piano lessons at the age of eight years old. Those beginning piano lessons resulted in a lifetime of sharing her love of the piano with others.
Accomplishments
- First performing job was playing the piano for the chapel services at Jones Harrison Retirement Home at age 15
- Finalist in the Minnesota Music Teachers Association State Piano Competition and performed in the Honors Concert at Northrop Auditorium in 1983
- Substitute church pianist for First Lutheran Church in St. Louis Park during High School
- Awarded a music scholarship for Concordia College in Moorhead, MN. Graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1990.
- Taught piano lessons in St. Louis Park from 1993 until 1997, and in Maple Grove from 1997 until the present.
- Julie Lind's composition, "Hop, Skip and Jump" was chosen as the winner in the MMTA teacher's composition competition. The piece was performed at the State Honors Concert at Northrop Auditorium in 2006.
- Employed as a substitute pianist at Maple Grove Lutheran Church the summer of 2008.
- Julie has many of her piano sheet music titles available at Sheet Music Plus, Amazon, Sheet Music Direct, and Piano Song Download.
Julie’s arrangement of A Thousand Years, was selected as the winner of The Sheet Music Plus contest for being the top-selling arrangement of popular music on their site.
- Performed with the worship band at Lord of Life Lutheran Church in Maple Grove from 2019-2020.
- Julie’s YouTube channel, PianoSongDownload, has over 82 million views and 190,000 subscribers.
